### Patagonia Glacier Monitoring Project 2026
Location: Patagonia, Argentina
Dates: November 10–20, 2026
Are you passionate about climate science? Join the Argentine Institute of Glaciology for our annual field study in southern Patagonia. Participants will work alongside research scientists to measure glacial retreat, gather ice core data, and document environmental changes in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
Participant Requirements:
This program is open to undergraduate students in environmental science, geology, or geography. Applicants must submit their official university transcript and one academic recommendation letter. Additionally, due to the demanding physical nature of field research on ice, a health certificate signed by a licensed physician within 60 days of departure is required.
Fees and Registration:
The tuition fee is $1,800 USD. This covers double-occupancy lodging, all meals at the research station, and specialized field safety gear (crampons, harnesses, and helmets). Please note that personal cold-weather apparel and round-trip airfare to Ushuaia are the sole responsibility of the participant.
